Massage

Why Massage?

Since I was young, I've been a headache and migraine suffer, I've always found that massage would relieve some of the pain and in some cases alleviate the migraine completely. This began to build a passion for massage as I became more intrigued to learn more and seek professional training. I wanted to help people care for themselves in a more holistic way and take time to look after their mind and body. Massage has so many amazing health benefits!

Therapeutic touch is based on ancient healing practices. The goal of the technique is to help people relax, relieve their pain, and help them heal faster. Relaxation and pain relief are two of the most reliable and immediate effects of Therapeutic Touch. Therefore, any condition that is made worse by stress or pain can be improved by Therapeutic Touch. â €

There is a fascinating documentary by the BBC called The Truth About Boosting Your Immune System. It states that massage is scientifically proven to boost and improve our immunity by a considerable amount, it’s more effective than taking supplements! Getting a regular massage isn’t self indulgent, it actually benefits and improves your health.

This doc is definitely worth a watch, especially considering the times we are living in with the spread of Covid-19.

Over the past few years I have been on a massive health journey. At the start of the first lockdown in April 2020 I hit breaking point. My migraines were becoming more and more deliberating. I decided I needed to make some drastic changes to my life style and try to do something about my poor health. I began 6 month detox where I stripped back my diet and track foods that might be a trigger, as well as trying new forms and amounts of exercise. Regular massage and bodywork treatments where also a key part of this process. Two years later I can say that I am pretty much migraine free. I may get the odd headache every 6 months or so, but nothing compared to before. After trying multiple medications, dealing with the side affects and not see massive results. I am so relieved to have found a holistic way of managing my health issues.

Massage has been a huge part of my journey. I am so passionate about my business. I truly believe that it is so important for each of us to make time to care for ourselves...whatever that looks like.

Thanks for reading,

Ally
