Bathwick is one of Bath's most elegant and sought-after neighbourhoods, sitting just east of the city centre on the other side of the River Avon. For visitors, it offers a quieter, more residential side of Bath while still being within easy walking distance of the main attractions.
The area is perhaps best approached via the iconic Pulteney Bridge, leading onto the grand sweep of Great Pulteney Street, one of the widest and most impressive Georgian streets in England, which draws visitors and photographers in equal measure. At the far end of Great Pulteney Street sits the Holburne Museum, housed in a magnificent neoclassical building and home to a fine collection of decorative and fine arts, including works by Gainsborough and Turner and best of all, entry to the permanent collection is free.
The neighbourhood is also the gateway to the lovely Henrietta Park and the expansive Sydney Gardens, Bath's oldest pleasure garden and a green oasis perfect for a leisurely stroll. The Kennet and Avon Canal runs through the area, offering a charming towpath walk popular with visitors and locals alike. With its handsome terraces, independent cafés, and peaceful streets, Bathwick gives tourists a chance to experience the more tranquil, lived-in charm of Georgian Bath away from the busier crowds of the city centre.

Do you cover the whole of BA1 and BA2?
Yes. All postcodes in BA1 and BA2 are within our core area with no travel fee. That includes Bath city centre, Bathwick, Widcombe, Oldfield Park, Combe Down, Weston, Larkhall, Lansdown, and some of the surrounding villages.
Can you come to an Airbnb or hotel?
Absolutely, it's one of the most common requests. We just need a room with enough floor space for the table (roughly 2m x 1m of clear floor), and somewhere nearby to park briefly for unloading.
How much notice do you need?
Usually three days for a single treatment, longer for couples or groups. Same day bookings are sometimes possible – just get in touch.
