Bath, Somerset

Title

It has been over two year since the pandemic first hit and finally you can feel a real change in the air. This spring/summer is looking much more open with restrictions lifted and a sense of safety returning. For many of us it has been an extremely challenging time, mental heath issues have risen significantly. Now is the time to focus on restoring a healthy sense of wellbeing and self care.

I have grown up in Bath and still live and work locally, it really is one of those special places. After visiting numerous cities worldwide, I still couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else, there is something magical about this golden city in a valley of green.

Bath in Somerset is world renowned for it's healing water and plethora of health spa's and retreats. There are plenty of ways to relax and unwind from retail therapy to outstanding restaurants and food.

Here is my guide to the perfect wellness weekend in Bath to replenish your mind, body and soul.

Bath Skyline Walk

Although Bath is a city, it's surrounded with beautiful countryside, providing a real escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Bath Skyline is a circular trail that affords views of the historic city and is managed by The National Trust. Only a short stroll from the city centre, enter another world, onto the skyline hills above Bath and beyond, through 6 miles of meadows and ancient woodlands to secluded valleys.

Thermae Bath Spa

Take some time out to sooth your mind and body at the Thermae Bath Spa which is a combination of the historic spa and a contemporary building in the city of Bath.

The main spa building, the New Royal Bath, was designed by Grimshaw Architects and is constructed in Bath stone, enclosed by a glass envelope. It has two natural thermal baths, an open-air rooftop pool and an indoor pool, and a large Wellness Suite with two aromatic steam rooms, an Ice Chamber, Infrared Sauna and a Celestial Relaxation Room.
